Aerospace

The Aerospace department aims to coordinate affiliates' policy in the sector and to develop a common strategy for unions to address developments and challenges in the industry. The work is carried out through a Steering Committee. There is also close cooperation with the European Metalworkers' Federation and its Aerospace working group.

Lockheed replaces strikers with replacement workers

Members of the International Association of Machinists, on strike since April 23 to defend pensions and other benefits at a Lockheed Martin plant in Texas, expressed outrage about the company's use of agency workers during the strike, risking the quality of the aircraft being produced at the site.May 28, 2012
